Is a visa needed?No visa is needed to visit Ecuador as long as you have a valid passport for at least six months prior to your trip and have a return ticket back home or to another country. Exceptions apply for certain nationalities. We will be happy to clarify this for you.
How expensive is to tour around Ecuador?Ecuador is a country with a huge variety of services, good quality standards and prices and likely to be more economical than what you might encounter while touring in other countries. Tour guides, bellboys and other service personnel are usually tipped.

Do I need any vaccinations?You do not need any vaccinations but you should keep in mind that there are certain areas with mosquitoes. There are also areas where altitudes may represent problems to people with high blood pressure or heart problems. It may be a good idea to consult with your physician before traveling to Ecuador.
What should I bring?You will need your passport, cash (US Dollar is the local currency), credit cards, light or warm clothing depending on what parts of the country you will tour, poncho, backpack, a hat or a cap and sunglasses.
